
The Michigan Vipers was established in 2007 by Darrell Searcy longtime member of the Michigan Renegades. Darrell Searcy brings 20 years of experience in amateur sports to the Michigan Vipers.

In it's 1st year of existence the Michigan Vipers completed it's season undefeated, ending with a 11-1 record, losing in the GLFL (Great Lakes Football League) Championship Game 26-16. After 2 successful years with consecutive Championship appearences in the GLFL, the Vipers joined the GMFL (Great Midwest Football League) in 2010.

The Michigan Vipers return to the G.L.F.L. in 2013.

QB Brian Eugene Young enter the Vipers Hall of Fame in 2009. He lead the Vipers to their first undefeated season in 2008 and was loss in a tragic accident May 8, 2009. His jersey is also retired and will never be worn again by any member of the Michigan Vipers.​

WR Darrell Searcy enters not only the Michigan Vipers Hall of Fame but he is also Inducted into the Amateur Hall of Fame as a Michigan Renegade in 2012.​
